South of Barcelona is the mountain park of Montjuic, the site of the 1992 Olympic games, a place of gardens and restaurants, museums and fountains, with La Font Magica, the biggest fountain of all coming alive on summer evenings with a free lights and music show. The famous Poble Espanyol, a re-creation of a Spanish village with representations of the different styles of Spanish architecture is sited here and well worth a visit. Art galleries, leisure attractions and the former bullring, the Placa de Braus Les Arenes where the Beatles performed in 1966.
